Hannah’s Chocolate Hot Milk Sponge Cake

TRH Hannah's Chocolate Hot Milk Sponge Cake

4 eggs (I used jumbo size)
2 cups flour
225g margarine/butter
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 – 1 cup cocoa (depending on taste)

Beat the eggs very well. Gradually add the sugar then add the vanilla essence.
Boil together butter and add the 1 cup milk.
Add flour and baking powder and cocoa to the egg and sugar mixture.
Add boiled butter and milk.
Bake at 375F/180C degrees for 25 – 30 minutes

Chocolate icing
125gm butter
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup icing sugar
4 Tablespoons water

Beat butter till creamy. Add in mixed together cocoa and icing. Beat.
Add water and beat. If too stiff, add more water.
Cocoa also depending on how dark you want it
