TRH Rashida's Naan Khataai - Crunchie Biscuits
Ingredients
1½ cups castor sugar
250g butter, I used rama
1 cup oil
Approx 6 cups flour, you may not use all
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp elachi powder, freshly ground
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp bicarb
1/4 cup finely chopped almonds

Method:
Changed from butter to rama, and add finely chopped almonds.
Beat margarine and sugar till light and fluffy
Add oil and beat well
Add nutmeg, elachi and finely chopped almonds
Sift together 1 cup flour, baking powder, bicarb and add to the above mixture.
Add remaining flour little at a time mixing well after each addition till dough is nice and soft.
Roll into small balls and press down with two fingers
Sprinkle chopped almonds dripped in little milk.
Bake on 180C till light in colour
