Irene’s Sandwich Press Crumpets

Here goes our first admin video….we will post more depending on our members’ responses….Enjoy and share your tried and tested recipes 😘💖

Ingredients:
2 cups self-raising flour
2 tbs klim (optional…it’s my preference)
Pinch of salt (optional because self-raising flour has salt but I like extra)
3 eggs
½ cup sugar (can go up to 1 cup if you like)
1½cups milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tsp caramel essence

Method:
Mix the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl.
In a second bowl, mix next 3 ingredients.
Mix both together properly and then add the melted butter mixed with essence to the batter and mix in.
Add a small amount of butter / oil to a non-stick sandwich press and drop batter (as big as you like) and cook on one side until bubbles appear, flip over and close press until done (+-30 seconds).
Serve with syrup / honey / cinnamon sugar or any toppings of your choice.
