I was listening to the radio a few weeks ago and the announcer was asking people for their family favourite recipes that had to be made every Christmas. This recipe was mentioned and it sounded intriguing. I did some research and found the magic ingredient “MacLaren’s Imperial Sharp Cold Pack Cheddar Cheese Product”. I made, I loved it… I will make this on MORE occasions than Christmas. I hope you’ll enjoy it too!
1 cup butter -250ml.
8 oz. pkg. Imperial cheese (sharp cold pack cheddar cheese) – 250g.
dash of salt.
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper or tabasco – 1ml.
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce – 1ml.
1 1/2 cups flour – 375ml.
4 cups Rice Krispies.
Cream butter and cheese together.
Beat in flour then add Rice Krispies.
Mix well. Shape into balls.
Press down with a fork which has been dipped in cold water.
Bake at 350F (180C) for 15-20 minutes, until lightly browned.
